Sweet Sixteen

Today my daughter Abby turned 16.  Time flies.  Just yesterday she was like this...

climbing up in my lap and asking for some Cheerios... now... she looks like this...  

Every now and then she'll climb up in my lap, she'll throw her arms around me and hug me... but what she's asking for now are the car keys! Yikes!  

When she was a baby Sonja and I prayed that Abby would grow up to love God and serve Him.  He's answering that prayer as she's growing up to be a Godly young woman who has a heart to serve others.    For the past 16 years she's been a blessing... and even though she's beginning to spread her wings and test the waters of independence, she will always be my baby girl.  (a little sappy I know, but at least I didn't post the lyrics to Butterfly Kisses!)   Anyway... Happy Birthday Abby.  Your mom and I are very proud of the Godly young woman you are becoming!
